SETTING UP THE NEW Wi-Fi MODEM As others have stated, I was having issues with logging into "My GCI" account. I made a call to GCI's tech support, and he got me set up in just a few minutes. He also assisted me with changing the Wi-Fi name (telling where in the app it's located), and from there, I was able to change the password. IF I had read all the instructions, I would have known to give them a call to "activate" my service.

I have veen having issues w my phn since I moved to a certain address. When GCI gave me this app. I was not sure at 1st. When my phn went capuut. Gci was able to fix w out leaving my home. They have been so good to me. I am on a very limited income and I feel like a superstar. p.s Meant alot to me. I have public anxiety, bad. God bless you GCI team. Thank you for making me feel I matter.

Router requires me to use this as now I have no control over router. And app does not allow you to log in with mygci login. So can't do anything with router and gci did something and all the settings are messed up.

Pretty bad experience all around. Was called out of blue by GCI I needed DOCSIS 3.1 modem even though I don't use gigabit. Got new modem (which is also router, which is trash as I'm already using own router). New modem instructions "require" this app. App won't even login, error on My GCI login. Found web portal at local IP address instead. Can't even shut off routing features of this new modem+router, so it doesn't interfere with my vastly superior router I have already. GG GCI, as usual...
