★★★★★ Works well, but you need to go to settings > apps > Alarm Clock (this app) > battery > manage battery usage. Make sure it's "not optimized." Otherwise it won't alarm in the morning if the phone is not plugged in - apparently "optimized" means Android will disable the clock at night to save battery power. Not an issue if phone is on a charger, or during the day. Turning off optimization for this one app doesn't seem to affect battery life, and it makes sure the alarm works.
