I got Birdfy in June '24. The app is great about showing me all the birds on the property up close. Over the first couple of months, it developed enough AI to ignore me and our vehicles if we go into the field it is in.

I love this thing! Camera is crystal clear, also doubles as a security camera with a loud alarm function, and you can also speak through it with your phone. No problem with installation or setup. I also hung a hummingbird feeder nearby and in the view of the camera. I also installed on my tablet, so I can peek over whenever I want! Great Xmas gift from my kids!

Just received the bamboo version and found it very high quality. I downloaded the app through a QR code on the instructions and had to reload a current version from play store. Also make sure you are connected to 2.4 ghz Wi-Fi as it doesn't support 5 ghz.

I like this app, also, I need to know what a bird is, it is brown for the body, orange or red for the head and the head has yellow spots on it, only thing I hate about it being on a tree is that chipmunks FREQUENTLY and I mean frequently steal the seeds, the app also crashes very frequently, despite all that, this app is pretty good!

In general do not like app and design of bird feeder and software. Will be returning. Do not recommend buying. You are better off just buying a ring camera and using your own bird feeder. Cannot view videos on my phone. Cannot view videos on my PC without installing their software. Bird food gets stuck when trying to close camera door (bad design). Customer support was no help in fixing my phone issue. They just told me to refresh and then force stop and reopen app.

Horrible. 98% unable to view. Worked great on netvue then they forced to switch to birdfy and good luck using it more than 2%

App requires Wi-Fi password. This is an insane invasion that's completely unwarranted. It then requires you to point a qr code at the camera in the bird box you just set up and hold a stupid button round the other side, of course you aren't warned of this when deciding where to place your bird box - the thing that by its very nature must be out of reach. Why did I pay out so much money if they're gunna throw up roadblocks at every step of the process? So they can harvest more data for profit gains
