The game is indeed blocky, as advertised. The gameplay does indeed take place on a square grid with blocky substances to be placed in perfect rectilinear alignment with said grid. If you misc lick, block gods will ensure you fail.

*Update. They've changed the game 🥺. There was always a way to fit the blocks even if this was really hard and took time. This is no longer the case and sometimes there's just no way the blocks fit, which makes the game pointless* Brilliant game that will drive you mad! You think it's easy until it starts throwing weird choices of blocks at you, which ALWAYS fit in somewhere, but one wrong move, and you're back to the start. I'm on 12,500, but I've no idea if this is a good or terrible score 😄

Recent update ruined the game for me. I enjoyed this version of the Block Puzzle game more than other apps because the game was a blank state, I had a high score to beat, but otherwise it was a nice relaxing game, plus there were no ads. In the recent update, the game is no longer a blank state. It starts you out with a random pattern, rather than letting you set up on your own.

The most recent update added a brand new 2x6 block. Also, each new game starts with random blocks already on the board instead of a clean slate each time. I preferred the old way.
