The app is a game changer. I couldn't tolerate all that was lacking in the hand held remote. There was no temperature readout, no backlight, and no schedule. I had to locate the remote and point the remote at my mini split in order for it to respond to my commands. Enter the Cairo Home App. All the features on the remote are available in the smart home app. The only thing I would ask is that the developers add to the thermostat control a minus and a plus sign to avoid toggling around a circle.

UDATE Feb 2024: Great energy saving devices. I'm delighted with Cairo, the app, and they took feedback. They restored schedule disable and enable feature! Also room temps now update without a swipe close. 🎉 UPDATE 2024: App developers, new interface is pretty, but scheduling is a lot harder now. I set certain schedules for summer or winter time, and enable or disable depending on the season. Now there's no way to disable a schedule, we can only delete it. Huge core feature loss!

My opinion is changing about this thermostat, it is not saving me money if it's going to run outside its settings. I know I don't have a Wi-Fi problem. Regardless, it should be designed to be able to retain its programs internally without constant communication with its assigned smartphone.

The breeze eco units disconnect every single day and I have to reset them manually, and put in the same Wi-Fi password every time. Worse than useless. Why do they disconnect every day? Why can't they automatically reconnect with the same Wi-Fi info like every other smart device? None of my other smart devices (light switches, bulbs, speakers) have this issue.

This unit works well with the touch screen. However, the scheduler and remote through Wi-Fi is sub par. It consistently fails the schedule as it is a one shot attempt. When using the unit through the app also requires multiple attempts as it says the unit is offline. Definitely needs some improvement on the Wi-Fi side of things.
