I feel like I know my city better from having this app! I'm really enjoy the local features that notify you about things close to your location. I do find it odd that the app practically encourages you to get involved in the crimes disturbance (like maybe going live on video, taking pics) happening nearby, but that could just be my interpretation. I think there could a better way to offer this feature, like if you post something you have the option of pics or videos. Overall, I think it's great!

Used to be fantastic but has done downhill rather steeply. I get that the previous model was probably not profitable, and they were probably operating at a loss, but this particular monetization strategy is egregious and kinda dumb. I would not call Citizen if I'm in trouble. I would dial 911. For free. I certainly would've accepted ads. The app is only useful if you see a lot of commotion and want to see what's going on. But it's no longer useful for proactively staying in the know.

Rather pointless. Didn't have multiple incidents near me that I knew occurred. Seems like it's really a data scraping app, as it tries to get a lot of personal and family data. Really awful user interface with virtually no ability to customize the types and dates of incidents you'd like to view. Most video is behind paywall and much of the screen is taken up by reminders that won't permanently go away. Not sure why anyone would pay, as there's nothing recent or relevant here.

Having to pay to see real life threats is insane. I get the need for a subscription since the app needs to make money, but that's just asinine. Most likely uninstalling this once useful app
