I started rowing this year because my herniated disc and sciatica no longer let me run. Rowing is a far superior total-body workout. I have had no low back or sciatica issues since starting rowing. I have completed more than 50 workouts. I love it. The biggest strength is the trainers - they are all top-notch now and commit to working hard with you. They bring personality and positive energy. I always look forward to the new round of classes as they are released, but often go back to classes I've done before. There is increasing variety to the classes and really, you can only do so much with a rower, but they are making some interesting and challenging workouts. The app generally works well. Sometimes it loses connection to the comms unit, but this is relatively rare and 'rebooting' everything usually works. There is some lag between the comms unit and the app for logging meters, but that's probably not an issue with the app.

Great classes, unfortunately they've stopped loading on my phone. I've worked with very responsive folks at City Row to no avail. I have a pixel 7 and my connection allows me to stream Netflix, etc. Not sure what the incompatibly is.

I really liked the concept of this app but couldn't get it to connect to my PM5. I followed all the troubleshooting tips but the app and rower remained on non-speaks. Eta I tried with oppo phone, lenovo tablet, samsung tablet. There are other apps which connect to the PM5 without difficulty.

I have downloaded the app and attempted to subscribe numerous times through the website to no avail. When completing checkout, the purchase processing hangs and does not progress. When logging in to the app, it tells me to subscribe. When logging in to web, it tells me there is a problem with my account and to contact support. Support deletes my account and asks me to try again, with the same issues then occurring. Very, very slow responses via customer support, no phone number or live chat options. Tried subscribing by selecting app + com module bundle, subscription failed but purchase successful for com module. I really want to like this system, but haven't been able to due to issues with the whole signup process. Will happily update review once issues have been fixed.
