I was actually a bit surprised by how much I liked these icons, given that I am not really on board with Android's look from basically Lollipop through Oreo. I like the move to more squarish icons, but the glyphs on them tend to look like a white neon sign now (Oreo). I guess it's better than a toddler's coloring book (Marshmallow, Nougat). You get it, I don't find Android lately visually pleasing. And if this hadn't been on sale for free I would have skipped over this. I am glad I didn't, and thank you for that sale. Nice work, you tempered this harsh critic of the design form!
