★★★★★ As others mentioned, it is short. This is a free demo with the option to pay to unlock the full game. The demo portion gives you access to about 6 rooms and can be solved in under half an hour. I found the story intriguing and graphics well done. It's nothing spectacular, but it was very enjoyable. Several reviews claim it ends abruptly, but I disagree; if you've been reading the journal pages you can piece together what happened and the story is concluded before the last door.

★★★★★ One of the first point and click adventure games I ever played, and I still love it. If you like exploring a once grand, but now decaying, old Gothic/Victorian Mansions, you'll love it. The haunting, melancholy background music adds to the creepy, but beautiful atmosphere. I enjoyed reading the journal entries-it made this almost feel like a walk through graphic novel. Since this is an old game, don't expect a lot of 'bells and whistles' like skip features, cut scenes, fast travel maps etc...
