Works as it supposed to but it doesn't make it easy for users to understand how it works which why I see many negative feedback. All you need to do is install it and when opening a page with AMP a popup will show you if you want to open it with Deampify or Chrome, just choose chrome and DO NOT make it default. Pages without AMP will automatically open up but with AMP will show dialogue I mentioned

1/28/20: Istill works inside the Google app if you choose open with Deampify by default when the choice presents itself. Thrilled since I'd virtually stopped using Google I hate AMP so much. AMP links don't work in apps that streamline the reading experience like Article Reader... the links to NYT articles and other news never worked but thankfully now they do.. Yes we'd all prefer to disable AMP globally but Google won't permit it. This app restores a bit of what Google took away. Try it!

I found that the only browser this works with now is Firefox. In fact, you don't even need the DeAMPify app, as Firefox just seems to deampify automatically! I can't even find a setting within Firefox to disable this (not that you'd want to anyway!) So you can now just uninstall DeAMPify and use Firefox to open any AMP links from Google instead. Downside is, unless you want Firefox as your default browser, you will have to select which browser you want to use EVERY time you click any link.

Uninstalled and reinstalled because it wasn't working. Selected to Always open links from Google app with DeAMPify. Still loads AMP after DeAMPify sends it to Chrome. It does work if I "Share..." the page with DeAMPify, but that's a pretty lame workaround.
