Bought for my 6th grader and has been perfect for us. She'd had Ace 2 for years & took good care of it. She likes that Ace LTE looks sophisticated (like adult Fitbit or Pixel watch), but has games & allows her to communicate w us. I like seeing where she is when she takes the bus, etc. The developers seem responsive so far & continue to add new features. We're planning to use this instead of a phone through middle school. I wish it showed last 7 days of activity instead of resetting every Sunday.

The Fitbit Ace seems like the perfect fit for my needs. It allows me to stay connected with my kids and track their location, without the distractions of calling or messaging friends like they can on an Apple Watch.

Device lacks obvious features. For example, It will display a map showing child location but does not show user location. Google Maps will show both, but the child location is often laggy. I've seen 30-minute delays on child position update in Fitbit map and Google Maps. I expected more given it's a cellular device. It can be stressful to see late latency on children position when high accuracy is needed (ie, bus stop pickup.) I've also seen "device off wrist" notices when child is wearing device.

Update: Google, you put me on contact with peoywhonsay they can't help with this problem. Useless I clicked the link and the chat person said they don't help with the ACE LTE. NO HELP!!!!! Terrible, charged me sales tax when I shouldn't have been since I live in a non-taxable state and I have been trying to get this resolved for 2 weeks with no one helping. Now I'm done, and I'm cancelling the subscription for the ace pass and returning the watch. Not worth it.
