★★★★★ Gardenize is the best app for me, to organize and record the progress of my garden throughout the season. The main reason I like it is because of its versatility and potential. It's very versatile because you can define your areas (I have raised beds I dedicate to square foot gardening), define your plants, (any plants including vegetables, herbs, annual and perennial flowers, trees, shrubs, etc.), and then create your own events (can be logs, journal entries, photos, reminders, etc.). The real power is that you can then associate any of these three aspects with the other ones. You can associate different plants with different areas, different events with different plants or to different areas, etc. Then, when you observe a specific plant, you can see the areas and events for that plant, or when you view a specific area, you can see the different plants and events for that area, and when you view a specific event, you can see the plants and areas associated with that event. You can also take photo's with your phone, or saved photos, and attach them to events, plants, and areas. For each plant, area, or event, there are defined fields which makes it nice to set the specific attributes of those entities. Plus, there's a generic 'Notes' field for all three entities that you can use to add more attributes if you need. Plus, you have the ability to use the application from your phone or computer. The interface is very user-friendly on both devices, and syncs very well between them. There are definitely rooms for improvement, and ways that the app can be made even better, and the developers have some of those that are being implemented right now. I'm greatly looking forward to some of those, which will make the app even easier to use. All in all, this is the most versatile app that I've found for organizing and journaling your garden.

★★☆☆☆ Looked promising but after installing it I tried to add a plant from the database to my garden it keeps saying this service is unavailable.

★★☆☆☆ It only has sweet peppers not the kinda peppers I am growing I thought this app would have all kinda of plants

★★☆☆☆ Loving it until it became subscription with ads! Saying you can get around this by purchasing a subscription is ridiculous, if you'd charged a few quid as a one off I'd probably purchase, but it's definitely not worth a running subscription.
