Once I read a few forums and reviews it was best to connect my smartphone to the bikes ccu with an usb-c to USB-C lead and Bluetooth, Wi-Fi was just awful, had to enter password every time even though I had to connect automatically ticked. What would give these 5 stars is if the motorize app could be available on a Carplay/Android auto device then your phone could be stowed away safely, and you can do all the functionality on a securely mounted dedicated screen.

I brought the new 2022 Yamaha T-Max tech-max so in turn, I've downloaded Garmin Motorize, working great now! 👍👍👍

Lots of checks to do but works. Room for improvement. Must use a good data compatible phone lead for connecting to my Yamaha Tracer 9GT+. Wi-Fi connection won't give you weather or traffic updates. On the lead connection, I've not had a problem. For me, just practice all the setting, and it does everything I want on a sat nav for motorbike you just have to find them in the settings. Could do with a makeover.

Have it on Galaxy s22 connected to new Yamaha Tracer 9gt+ via my ride link. Works mostly ok using Wi-Fi hotspot on bike but continually disconnects when using USB link. Tried different usb cables but same result. Having to use Wi-Fi hotspot means no Internet data available. Similar problems have been reported on TMAX with no solution

Such a bad app. For a company who specialize in navigation to produce something so bad and have the audacity to make it paid subscription is embarrassing. Clearly don't use their own products. Icons make no sense, routing is poor, maps difficult to preview, phone screen has to stay on to mirror to Tmax screen, can't find some post codes, journey time always way off. It's like they haven't even tried. Only used because there is no alternative to use on TMax screen.
★★☆☆☆
As with all things app based, it won't be supported in a year or two, rendering the whole thing obsolete. Garmin has done all this before with nav units. Spotify's support was dropped for the Sumo. They should be sued. Advertise a product, then discontinue the service you have paid for. I wanted the built-in Garmin unit, which restricted me to Yamaha, which is not a bad thing as I think they build excellent bikes. Garmin aren't doing you any favors Yamaha. You need to talk to them.
