Useful if you misplace key fob, but not a substitute for Blue Link Genesis Intelligent Assist. Digital Key is without intervention, there is no customer service. It makes smartphone a fob. Blue Link is better, does everything Digital Key does AND more, it provides extraordinary services and customer service, though it has its faults. Do not confuse with CARD KEY! CARD KEY, size of credit card, is great to carry in wallet for emergencies.

The app doesn't work well at all. You got to be very close to your vehicle for it to connect, and it takes forever to connect. I end up standing at my vehicle for a while for it to connect so that I can unlock the door. App needs major improvements!

I hoped to use the app in order to avoid carrying with me the "tv remote control" size key in my pants. I did anticipate trouble. Why only 13 key slots without online access? Too little space in my phone? Too expensive flash drive in the car's system? OK. I still had 10+ attempts. I still had good internet connection. It just stopped working. Demanded login. Did not let me in. I reset password 2 times. I was able to log in to portal, to another remote control app. It appeared that the remote app only can turn on the engine for warm up/cool down but will never let you start driving the car. Genesis Digital Key app refused to log in till Monday. Attempts to reinstall it did not help. On Monday it started to work again. Such software must be RELIABLE! I had to use Uber to go home to take the real key. Why would I need the app anymore? I trust it no more! Well... there is one use case when I will keep taking risks. But mostly I started to carry the real key with me.
