★★★★★ I prefer the classic Google Assistant by far, yet it recently started hearing my English speech as German and my German speech as English, which is why I sadly had to switch, so I could speak English without it getting confused. I'm glad that Gemini is learning well already, even with the minor hiccups at times, but those are to be expected.

Gemini gives the total US population. The second is more tedious, but the only acceptable answer other than the right number is that sentence length isn't available. AI is far from reality. Is Gemini just using a broader set of canned queries?
