Sends you on a loop: pressing green "Link app to continue" button opens the app, which then asks if the app was started initially on the computer or on a phone, or no browser was involved. Answering that the browser was opened on the phone sends me back to the browser to press "Link GOV.UK ID Check" button, which I apparently just pressed. Other options are similarly unhelpful. Rubbish.

Completely failed to verify my identity, so was a complete waste of time. No reason, no retry, just declined it. It would have been pretty straight forward had it actually worked. Now have to go to the post office to do the identity check.

Best advice skip this app, just save yourself time and ring the gov dept. First, the phone no’s are on the web page with links to this app. Non-functional, does not sync to the web page, send u round in loop and does not tell u what of all the info it asks for it is having a problem with. Result now locked out. Really get a grip, the banks have got this sussed many years ago. If u want to offer an usabal service to the UK taxpayer, (who is funding this effort), then make the service usabal.

Could not get this app to work, wouldn't even take the picture of my passport so had to go back to the website and do it manually.
