I love HEB but I came to hate Net spend. I called to update my new cell phone number. Very bad idea. Net spend immediately blocked my account without telling me. Suddenly, I was stranded with zero money. Because I am a contractor who lives in hotels, it was impossible to unblock it because Net spend doesn't accept Hotel Invoices as proof of current address. It was hopeless and terrifying. I got Chime. Much better program. Even has a virtual debit card whose number can be changed. Much better.

This prepaid card is run by Net Spend. For most people I don't have to say anything further. Otherwise, expect the worst service, and you won't be able to activate your card when you think you can. You'll have to call the phone number during their business hours. And I haven't even looked at the transaction charges each time you use the card. HEB... You can do better!
