The Heatmiser SmartStat is a WiFi Connected Thermostat that connects directly to your home router.

Allows full access to Smart Stat over internet. Turn on/off, set temperatures, program events etc. Useful when on holiday to check/adjust temp if necessary, although setting an away minimum temp is great. Similarly, setting heating on in advance of returning home is great. The decontrol would be useful, but my partner has a Windows phone and no Smart Stat app. Would benefit if their system could provide historic information on date/time temperatures and times when heating on was demanded.

Been using the Smart stat App for some time, overall been happy with it, I seem to be luckier than the majority, looking at all the negative comments, it isn't perfect but for me, it has worked more or less ok beside the odd glitch, Wi-Fi drop out etc.... It has eliminated me going to work and leaving the heating on all day which was my main reason for the purchase of the stat. A plus side is that it works well with Amazon Echo/Alexa voice commands i.e. by creating ifttt applets, never heard of them before but once learned are quite simple to create. At the time of writing I understand that an update is due so hopefully a more sleek/informative UI may be on the cards....

Increasingly frustrated and disappointed with this app/system. The thermostat has got ever-more erratic and unreliable. The app is flakey, slow, and I have had to uninstall/pair with thermostat, play around with settings (ie waste my time) too often for what is quite a chunky sum of money on purchase. I regret choosing this make and am currently developing another property and have chosen a different system entirely. P.s. did I mention it's frustrating? App is now 'stuck'/ stating a temp. Of 23.3...when it's not even close. It's been like that for 3 days!

Very user unfriendly. Crashes all the time. Would not recommend be at all. Effectively makes an efficient heating system redundant because if the remote control.

Worthless app Constantly crashing. No control of heating with phone. Will be pulling heat miser thermostat out of wall and returning. Total waste of time and money.
