Hostelworld: Hostel Travel App

★★☆☆☆ Card is charged twice for the same booking. Customer support is none existence. No number is available for contacting and no chat support. All you can do is fill a form and pray to God that your request is answered.

★★☆☆☆ Use this to find hostels but DEFINITELY DO NOT use them to book hostels. I had an experience where I accidentally booked for an incorrect date. Contacting the hostel directly, they said that there would be no problem at all changing it, but they were blocked from doing so because my booking was through this app. Attempting to get onto hostel world to allow the hostel to fix it, customer service has been very difficult to get a non-automated response from and otherwise unresponsive for days.

★★☆☆☆ The app doesn't let me access the chats or events despite my stay being in the 14-day window. I've contacted customer support, and although they've tried to work the problem at first they've seemed to have given up. This is extremely disappointing because this was a huge reason for booking through hostel world. Was hoping to make friends on my trips. I should've just booked directly with each hostel and saved money.

★★☆☆☆ The customer support email does not work. You receive an email saying "report the issue via app", but the app does not have such feature!
