A great one is a backup-restore function for the Gateway. When a Gateway is dead, you have to configure all over manually. A simple backup (even daily or periodically) and restore to a new(er) device would be great

IKEA may be cost-effective and nice looking, but IKEA smart home hardware is unreliable at best; some devices work, some bulbs loose paring constantly, some bulbs cannot be added, remotes fail for no reason. But the android software is much better than few years ago. Recent version had trouble finding my Hub, I had to manually enter IP address.

The app has no remote acces feature only works on lan or rather the gateway, the only 3 automations routines you can run from a recent update don't let you just control the blinds unless you set at least 1 loght on so basically if you want the blinds to go up in the morning you have to turn a light on

DO NOT BUY THIS PRODUCT! No "lights off" button. Can't turn on/off lights based on GPS. Can't manage two overlapping time-settings - e.g. wake up + leave for work. Embarrassing! Support for Google Home earns them the second star, because that fixes some of the issues described. It got worse again. Devices removes from the app and can't be reinstalled. Lights don't work, plugs don't work, and 3 remotes can't connect to the hub. IKEA has no idea what they're doing. Update! Still unbelievably 😞

Styria control does not work with the side buttons. It is a flaw in the programming, I hate it. Ikea is making it useless.

Horrible experience, complete waste of time pairing remotes lamps etc. again and again. Buy the lamps, but avoid the hub and the app like the plague.
