Best mobile game I've ever played. I have the kingdom games on my computer, but when I found out this was on mobile I bought it immediately. This is the first time I've ever spent money on buying an app if that says anything about the game. No adds, no Internet needed, super fun, and can be quite challenging at times.

It seems pretty cool, I love the atmosphere and art style, but the touch controls are awful on my pixel 5a running Android 12. I gave up pretty early because I kept spending money I didn't want to when the game kept registering a swipe as a tap - when it registered anything at all. Not sure how much the phone is to blame vs the game. I do have swipe vs tap issues with the phone in general, but I don't have near that much trouble on other games.

Apparently you're supposed to die. I read something by the developer saying that's why they introduced winter. Wanted it to be realistic - except this winter never ends! Yay!! You get to build up a kingdom and when you're in danger of having fun, the big blob guys come and kill your wall. And if you go right/left/right/ enough to actually build up enough archers to kill the big blob puchy guys, then they'll just send four or five. Fun - like a chemistry exam or root canal. Dumb!

The AI behind your civilization is as bad as ever. When it's nighttime, civilians refuse to run towards shelter unless the greed lings are too close for it to even matter, if a wall falls, builders and archers refuse to run for shelter behind the nearest wall, if building a catapult builders will give it top priority above all else (even fixing walls) which results in the builders taking all day to move the catapult into position only to lose it immediately because they refused to rebuild.

1 star for mechanics. Most upgrades kill you. No way to add and if you upgrade you lose. I've never seen that before in any game ever. All the upgrades just kill you.
