★★★★★ The new update for the app doesn't cover the whole phone screen like it used to making it harder to focus while reading. Please bring that option back. I like to be fully immersed when reading a book and this update hinders that

★★★★★ Kobo is great in general, but something has changed on the app, and it is impossible to adjust the brightness to a comfortable level. At the second to the lowest setting it is way too bright, at the lowest setting the display is practically dark. The same thing seems to have happened to the font sizes. The differences between the increments are too big and this limits functionality. I am hoping my new book synchs with my reader.

★★☆☆☆ Dreadful reader. Might work on their own devices but horrible in my Boox Air2. It is unresponsive and not a pleasant experience. Recent update removed the only redeeming feature of having two-page side by side. Worsted of all, if you think you've bought a book through kobo you haven't. It will be DRM protected to only read on their device or app. There are better options out there.

★★☆☆☆ A perfect example of fixing something that wasn't broken. Kobo 9's UI for reading books was pretty much perfect, 10 is horribly inconsistent; constantly changing margins, margins which never span the width of my screen and the app never returning to my last read page when I restart the app, if I don't get a blank screen instead, and I now have to manually adjust brightness. I ended up reinstalling Kobo 9 and turning off updates as a result, because 10 is painful to use.
