★★★★★ This generally is a great app. The last update, however, was a user rip-off. With the update, all my in-app purchases disappeared without any information. They had been one-time purchases, and now the system apparently changed to a monthly/yearly subscription without me being able to use my one-time purchases anymore. Update 2023-06-07: The developers respondet. The issue with the purchases could be solved by uninstalling the app, restarting the phone and reinstalling the app.

★★★★★ Good not so far chipped as an animal hackable

★★★★★ Helpful to find a bird 🐦 you saw or like. Nicely arranged, helpful pictures and information. Also, ird songs are available in many variations. The support is friendly and new features are to be seen soon.

★★☆☆☆ Annoying: Call recognition costs substantial amount of money, but doesn't work. A) Selection is limited to 5 seconds. B) As soon as the button to analyze is tapped, the app resets. C) Also, there is no way to save the audio file to analyze at another time later. Developers seem to expect users to always have full network coverage available to be able to determine bird species in real time while out and about. Ridiculous. Two stars only because the rest of the paid-for functions work ok.

★★☆☆☆ Didn't use it often ... but just when I started I was surprised by a feature downgrade - now 7 day trial with atonement afterward ... no way. Using bird (4.0 ⭐ actually) 👍 and Merlin (4.8 ⭐ actually) 👍 is quite satisfying enough ... bye-bye 👋

★★☆☆☆ The application would be good if not one unpleasant problem - the (in-App) bought and installed additional packages with birds voices magically disappeared without any warnings or traces.
