News Suite by Sony

★★★★★ I use this app every day. It is a lot better than it used to be. If I could organize the sources I'm reading, it would be a nice feature. Update: Since the keyword search was discontinued I am going to try switching app. I think that Sony has nothing to do with this, and maybe it's something the sites didn't want. Thank you for the nice experience all these years. News Suite was like a friend that knew everything I needed.

★★★★★ Far from perfect, but much better than the other three news apps I have installed. Sad to see it will be discontinued in Australia from October. Understandable since Sony pulled out of the phone market here; there's likely too few users to justify maintaining a local database. Honestly, I'd still use it with more generic, international news. I could still use feeds to watch my own local content. Feeds could be publishable, in-app; community maintained. Just need search tools. Food for thought!

★★☆☆☆ Add an option to disable swiping. I'm loosing my articles when accidentally swiping the screen when scrolling down, and the direction is not 100% straight, but a bit crooked. Edit: solved temporarily by holding my phone in the left hand, and scrolling with my left hands thumb!!!! Edit 5 Dec 2022 scrolling close to the screens edges makes the app swipe away from the article! Don't limit the amount of saved articles!!!!

★★☆☆☆ Really... I just get notification for new application. Never get update but news suite from sony. Unnecessary app on your sony with old news.
