Candidate for best Word clone With support for spell check (it does work, just read the instructions), comments, revisions, bookmarks, and footnotes (but not endnotes), TextMaker comes closer than any competing app to enabling full cross-platform editing, and it does so in an attractive and easy-to-use environment. I finally took the plunge after paragraph styles were added; disappointingly, however, it seems you cannot create or modify styles but can only apply the default normal and heading styles, or styles already in a Word doc.

Great app but flaws make me regret purchase Unbelievable flaws for paid app. This is the app I use for editing documents on my mobile devices. The track changes function is the best and I've tried almost every reputable office suite on the play store:: Quickoffice, Documents to go, On mobile, Kingsoft office etc . What holds Textmaker back are the major major bugs. Hyperlinks = crash. Save the doc and whole paragraphs if tapped crash app. All my work uses hyperlinks!! The cursor will randomly be 2-3 lines off. Auto save frequently hangs non-stop. The app is barely usable at times! Google needs to add track changes to Quickoffice like in iOS version. I've written them about the hyperlink flaw. A paid app at the least should work without these major flaws. I often waste tons of time not knowing where I can touch the app that won't cause it to crash. Either I'll go through my docs three times so I don't need to open it again. Or I use a trick of touching the margins which highlights a whole line which allows me to use the cursor tails to get to my spot & not touch the doc at all. Seriously! There should be at least one viable option on the playstore
