★★★★★ Olio - not just the app - became such an amazing community, sharing all sorts of items and unsold food to reduce waste.

★★☆☆☆ This used to be a great app but since 2021 this app has been awfully run. Constant new updates causing the app to crash for days at a time (not good when you volunteer for olio and have no way to get into the app) a lot of volunteers are left to bin tons of food per week because of quota! The waste is now just going from supermarket bins into our council bins. Forget about Olio saving the planet, this is now just a money making app for Tess and Sasha, with nobody's interests at heart but their own

★★☆☆☆ It used to be a great, useful app, but after a recent update, the layout is terrible, making everything much worse than before, definitely less functional now. It takes more time to find something, so you lose interest in using the app.

★★☆☆☆ The concept is good, but the application flawed. App doesn't update listings for 15 mins - meaning you don't have time to get to a person who lists at 9:30pm for 'collection by 10pm'. The quota for requests (100/month) means listings regularly 'expire' that I would happily have used, as I cannot afford to waste quota on small, single, cheap items and run out of quota later. This also penalizes those with more mouths to feed, as one person gets the same quota as a family!
