★★★★★ OnX is a fantastic resource for planning my hiking and skiing adventures. I particularly like the features that Otis (Software Engineer II) has implemented, such as when multiple trail routes appear after I select an area with several different options.

★★★★★ I've used some backcountry mapping apps, and this one is by far the best.

★★★★★ It is a great app for hiking, cannoneering, etc. The details are awesome, and the customer support is top-notch

★★☆☆☆ Laughably limited feature set for a paid app. It basically has no functionality if you are offline which is the entire premise of a BACKCOUNTRY mapping program. Want to see an elevation chart between two points? Tough! Want to see a distance between two points? Tough! Even if you download the entire area before heading out this is basically useless. They will also send you endless marketing emails to try out their other products. Avoid.

★★☆☆☆ Pretty useless only shows ski resort labeled runs anywhere I looked. No backcountry runs that are well known aside from marked hiking trails up the mountain for summer. Also, no customer support when asking a question, just a "hey buy our app" reply.

★★☆☆☆ Useless outside the USA. 1: All map elevations are in feet, switching the units to Metric does not swap the maps. 2: There seems to be very little to no winter satellite imagery outside the USA. 3: Unless you have a credit card with a USA billing address, you cannot use discount codes or purchase from onX directly. 4: Avalanche run out and Potential do not work outside the USA. 5: User interface occasionally bugs and will not allow tilt or rotate in 3D view until the app is restarted.
