The best boating app in existence! Been using it to sail from Norway to the Med, and all the charts are perfect and the automatic route planner is superb! Some things that could be made better: - Make it possible to create routes without an internet connection. Just a simple track to waypoint feature would be great! - Maybe get coverage of bridge openings in NL/France, and canal charting. - Adjust the automatic route planner so that it keeps better safety distance to shallows and rocks. 10/10!!

Great app. I would add though, you should make the onscreen elements smaller or scalable in settings. Also, the bottom panel should show the coordinates of what's selected before clicking. And when the panel opens up the user should be able to delete the coordinates and enter any even if there already is a search. And this last one is unimportant but double-clicking a moving map is difficult, especially for exact coordinates; instead the user should only have to press a location once.

Have also purchased their Orca Core 2 and tablet. So far everything I've connected to my NMEA 2k network has just worked with Orca (depth, wind, TP22 etc.). I've emailed them twice with general questions, and they've always responded quickly. It's a slick setup.

Bad and initiative UI. a lot of extra swipes and touches. Major problem is the app is useless unless one have ORCA core even after paying $130 in subscription it is useless without boat connection that can ONLY be done by buying ORCA core. Don't get suck into paying subscription. I may change my mind if I can connect to open source server for boat connection.

At minimum £399 hardware cost to use offline charts for when there's no mobile data signal it's no alternative to Avionics

I own an Orca system. Before purchasing this product, look at the Orca Owner's Club Facebook page. If you don't have FB there are a lot of unhappy customers being overpromised and under delivered with dysfunctional software/hardware and deceptive marketing. Orca will place freely advertised features (which you might have even purchased the unit for) behind subscriptions at any point in time. TLDR: This company will revoke basic features, "update" them, and then require a subscription to use.
