This review is not for the Oter app but for the co-founder, Aswien Jiawan. He contacted me via LinkedIn on August 7, 2024, after viewing my application and scheduled a call at 10:30 AM IST. I was ready, but no call came. Later, he apologized and rescheduled at 8:30 PM IST. I was unavailable, but we finally connected. He explained the role, but despite my relevant experience, he rejected me without asking any questions. Very unprofessional.

It's essentially Blinkist but worse. Initially, they didn't even mention in their header that it's a "Micro-Book" app, making it appear as if the app provided access to the books in their entirety, which I'm sure helped with download numbers. The actual content, as in the key ideas, read like something off of a ChatGPT prompt. Low effort, almost no originality whatsoever. All of that, in addition to functionality issues and frequent crashes.

This app needs to be designed better as Google has done. Another thing to keep in mind is that this app can be used by anyone in the world for free. And more books should be added to this app so that all types of English books are available. In one word, all kinds of books are available. I could not see my book in this app so that no one could tell. It should be remembered that Google is used by everyone because all information is available, and free.
