Not sure why this option is not already in Google Photos, but the ability to sync offline Google Photos Album on the phone (an album fed by different people for example) is awesome to be able to use them locally on the phone (edits, 3-rd party apps...). On trick: the Album must not be shared (in Google Photos) for Tool to find it. Once found, the album can be shared, it remains visible.

Absolutely useless. For the past 9–10 years, I have used the Photo Tool app with my Google Account without any issues, but since this new update, I keep on getting the message "No photos. Tap to refresh." every time that I try to upload or refresh my photo albums on it. It has been quite infuriating and annoying. Looks like I am going to have to move my albums on to another app from now on. Absolutely rubbish, Google. NOT impressed. Completely useless.

Opened app today to discover my photos were gone or deleted. I keep trying to sign in, but it said error. All my pictures gone.
