The Lakeland Bank app for mobile check deposit was much easier to use. And you could check to see that a check deposit was pending and when it was deposited posted

I used to love this app. But about April 2024, following an app update, they changed my mind. I like to put a little extra down on my mortgage principal each month which used to work fine. No longer. Since April my extra principal sits unapplied not to principal. The app has a button to select "pay to principal" but it never applies to principal. Have call customer service so many times I'm done calling. My letter got no action, so I now am reconsider my longstanding banking at Provident.

This app is a joke, never is updated, is pach after pach, never works properly

Buggy, slow, more hoops to jump through than my old bank. Requires writing a paragraph on checks before deposit. Also, the transition from Lakeland Bank to Provident was a huge disaster, myself and others could not access their money for days.
