You *can* play the Free version, but it takes more prodding than you'd think. After the tutorial, and your first round, you'll be given 3 options. Click on Subscribe (or Join, I can't remember now), and once in that menu you can cancel out of purchasing. It's not very intuitive, but it can be done. The game itself worked great - cool hybrid of Tetris/word search. Love Threes, looking forward to playing this more too.

I am a legacy user. I sent proof of my previous subscription. I could not find my receipt, but I've been evangelizing the game online for years and that seemed to be enough proof. They honored this and unlocked the game for me. The game itself is amazing. Tetris plus word search with some nifty added tricks. I am really grateful to have it back in my life. I wish other people had the opportunity to buy it unbundled, so they could know how great it is (hence a 4 not 5-star review).

This game is great until it suddenly insists on you paying an exorbitant subscription fee to play any of the games. Who is signing up for that?! Don't waste your time.

Super disappointed that once you finish the tutorial (apparently, if you're lucky enough to do so), and you leave the game, you can't play it. Not even zen mode allows you to spell anything. I was so excited about this game (especially after the excellent Dr Mario Land was deprecated), but not enough to pay $5 a month to do it. Do better: sell it for a one time fee, and you'd probably make more money.

I would really like to love this game, but as many others have said, it freezes in the tutorial. Really liked Threes!, would love to give this a chance. Please fix.
