As a Hydro Thunder and Hydro Thunder Hurricane casual fan of those games. Riptide doesn't disappoint as a spiritual successor, as well as having the tricks from Wave Race Blue Storm as a way to gain a boost. It has multiplayer split screen, and it works great on Samsung DeX, supports Bluetooth controller and keyboard as well. Has online play, but it seems like no one plays online. Good visuals of it own and has Hydro Thunder inspired tracks. It's a recommend for a different take on racing games.

Really solid game. But I recommend using a good headphone while playing. The sound of waves, bgm, and the jet just simply doesn't mix well on cheap phone speaker.

The only issue that I have with this game is the 3 Level 10 stunts that are the 1080, triple backflip and triple front flip. Actually, whatever stunts that require the same swipe inputs. Somehow, your game doesn't reliably register the input to those type of stunts. Especially the rock star which is a level 2 stunt and is one of the first stunts I unlocked. Other than that, I've had a blast using all the Level 5 stunts using touch controls on my phone and got every achievement.

I have an issue with the swipe gesture detection when trying to do a stunt. The game isn't recognizing my finger gestures very well and often causes a stunt not to happen at all, or the wrong stunt happens. This makes it frustrating to play. The gesture detection in Riptide GP 2 worked much better in my experience, so it's odd that it's broken in this game.
