For a text adventure game, this was one of the best I've played. I liked the story and how, for the vast majority of the game, you are responsible for piecing together what has happened and why. I thought the atmosphere was well-presented; I was honestly rather creeped out at a few parts of the game, something I didn't think would happen to me, and I loved that! The hand-drawn maps of the overworlds and various buildings are a FANTASTIC touch--they provided an excellent sense of direction and presence in the world and keeped me from getting lost. The only semi-negative for me was the ending. I won't spoil it, but I thought the idea was very interesting; only, the way in which it was presented seemed a tad too preachy. I am a Christian myself, and I think non-Christians should be able to enjoy this game without getting bombarded with messages asking them if they want to become one. I don't really see this sort of evangelism as being necessary or wanted in the world anymore; now that the political and geographical lines between belief systems have been drawn, there's no need for religions to go through these dick-measuring contests of who can win the most converts--and especially not in a video game, for crying out loud! The game took a massive turn, and not for the better; I appreciate your good intentions, Mr. Radford, but let people follow their own paths. Other than that, TFN was a very interesting experience; the evangelical ending is the only thing holding it back from a 5 in my book.

great text adventure game. really like the map feature. only thing I wish it had was a fast travel option
★★☆☆☆
If you dont like religion this game is not for you. I liked the game until it became all about Christianity, and being forgiven, blah blah blah. Such a waste of time and load of trash.
★★☆☆☆
Looks like a text adventure but ends up being a bible lesson in shoving religious nonsense down your throat. I won't bother playing the sequel.
★★☆☆☆
First line of the description should be the preachy truth about this game: it's Christian propaganda. If you dig through the description, FAQs, or in game supplemental information it's made clear, but nothing is above the fold. That aside, the gameplay is clunky and unsatisfying. There are numerous spelling and grammar errors dotted throughout the game text. Commands are often overly complicated, like having to restart vehicle ignition every use. Features might be useful, if more obvious.
