Content is first-rate, but the 'live' aspect of football scores lets the app down. Most other news apps such as The Telegraph and The Guardian have real-time football scores, so why not The Times?

Unable to use the app on my Samsung phone after the latest update. Asks me to complete my setup, and once recognizes that I am an existing subscriber says 'user already exists' and Unable to proceed further. V annoying

On the whole, a decent app. Many previous frustrations have been solved. My current annoyance revolves around how the mid-article adverts load. There seems to be more and more large adverts, and when they load your place in the article jumps off the screen to make way. Deeply irritating!

Every time I open the app an annoying box pops up saying that I haven't allowed notifications, and need to go to settings to allow notifications. Does anyone know how to stop this happening? I don't want to allow notifications. Thanks for the reply Times team, but if it's a fixed feature then it's not an 'option'. I don't want to receive notifications from your app, and I don't want to have to reconfirm that every single time I log into it. Could you please take the feedback on board?

NEVER subscribe, absolute scam! The free trial I accepted to read one article, is now a mandatory 1-year subscription. It is not stated that your only chance to escape it, is within 2 weeks of signing up. You can't cancel through the app store or even email. Only by calling(!) an English number was I able to stop automatic renewal in July 2025. I still have to pay every month for a year. Many have also reported the monthly fee increasing without notice or reason. Beware!

Very disappointing. Just subscribed, but the app seems very weak. No way to quickly get beyond very limited menu headings, limited number of newsletters. No play speed options on video, no audio articles. No tag to get to defense articles. Looks like I have to load a relevant article I've probably already read, scroll all the way to the bottom and hope I can use tags like 'armed forces' or 'NATO' to find other stuff I'm interested in. Why can't I just personalize my homepage with topics I want?
