I've literally never had a bad experience with ThredUp. I accidentally submitted an order with the wrong shipping address, and because I caught it in time, the support team was able to correct the address before it shipped. I love browsing and "window shopping" on the app as well, and occasionally, there's a piece that just calls out to you. It's a curated thrifting experience, and all the items I've received have matched the quality of their descriptions.

Had a top come with a not great zipper that kept randomly breaking, and they refunded it. - the app used to have issues but has greatly improved. Love we are taking down fast fashion! I loved the idea of thred up but the lack of ability to return items seamlessly or for free is a major detractor. The latest updates have dumbed down the app. The search feature is absolute trash; I only get unrelated nonsense. Lastly, but perhaps most importantly, not great for sellers! $37 sold, $19 in fees. Really?? Only $8 to me for a Lilly Pulitzer dress. They also charge exorbitant amounts to have unsold items returned! They make you BUY YOUR OWN ITEMS BACK! Your greed is showing thredup!

Total rip off. As others pointed out (and I wish I had read the reviews before sending them a bag full of clothes), they will pay you close to nothing for most clothes, zero on several brands which they still advertise to sell and charge you fees to process your bag. You end up with nothing. Good to know, thredUP. I understand you need to make some money but man, that was highway robbery.
