Why does my Vizio TV lack buttons on it to be able to access the menu for settings? Why was that a good idea? Instead, I have to download an app and register an account just to adjust a setting on it if I'm lacking a remote.

This app cannot locate my vizio tv automatically or manually. It Should work with ALL models that contain pre-installed streaming apps. None of the troubleshooting suggestions wrre successful while both devices are connected to the same Wi-Fi.

Connected to my speaker the first time and then wouldn't let me connect again. Had to delete and reinstall the app. Connected one time and then wouldn't connect unless I delete and reinstall again. There must be a better alternative.

Has John Dublin said I'm having the same problems. This app sucks, let alone the same problem with a SV510X-0806 sound bar. It's causing my tv to power down and restart every 15 min to 2 hrs. This app constantly disconnecting. Having to unplug the soundbar or factory reset after trying to get the app connected. Nothing but ads having to log on to use it. Throwing vizio out if my house. Now I also had to factory reset the vizio TV, and it wants me to make an account & log on to use that also.

Reaffirming this as a one-star app. It's not a tv remote. It's an ad machine. The least you can do for packaging a garbage remote with your tv that spams nonstop ads is give a free remote app that does a half decent job. The whole point of this app is to spam more ads when I'm not looking at the ones on the tv, and now you want to send them to my email as well as a condition of use for this trash. Garbage tv, garbage remote, garbage app, garbage company.
