The Data Backup feature always seems to fail. When doing a manual Data Backup, an error message appears "Data transmission failed. Transmission of the data backup failed. A stable Internet connection is needed for data transmission." I've tested the backup/app on mobile and Wi-Fi, different DNS and non Android Private DNS, same result.

Just received info that the app is slated to be terminated at the end of 2025. I am not surprised that VW is finally pulling the plug on a mediocre service. The app has not been functional for more than a year, with 95% of the trips not being recorded since the app is not able to set a connection with the Data Plug. I'm not sure if the problem was in the end the OBD plug or the app itself (maybe not compatible with recent Android updates), but in the end, nobody will miss the service.

I have Volkswagen polo 2011 model car and I have plugged the vw data plug, but this app is not able to establish the connection with data plug even Bluetooth is enabled
