★★★★★ My go to NPR station. Even though based in Raleigh, they cover just about every section of NC well. Pretty much listen to it all the time wether driving or at home. I often travel to the Norfolk/Virginia Beach area and listen to the Tidewater area NPR station there. While another good station, UNC is a notch or two above. Many kudos to UNC!

★★★★★ This launches quickly and provides the audio stream I want easily. It's easy for me to find the alternate channels I occasionally use. A good balance between simplicity and complex offerings.

★★☆☆☆ This used to be a great app for listening to UNC, but sometime in the past couple of months, it has become so kludge that it has become impossible to listen to. Maximum frustration, because I like the station, but it will only stream while my phone is completely "on" -- does not continue when the display sleeps. Bad news, and bad business!

★★☆☆☆ Many drops in the stream. When streaming the UNC radio there are lots of times when the sound stops and, seconds later, it will pick up again.

★★☆☆☆ About a year ago, my wife and I moved back to Durham. I've enjoyed listening to UNC's programming, usually through the UNC app on my android phone. Its key feature for me was the reliability of its connection to UNC's programming. A month or so ago, it started dropping the connections. Sometime, when it stopped streaming, it appeared the app was having some kind of data connectivity problem (it would show the pause icon and would recover while I watched). Usually, by the time I brought the app to the front, I would see the Play icon and would need to click the play icon to resume streaming. This might happen every hour or so. I have found that if I open the UNC website with the phone's browser and click Listen Live, I get reliable connections again, and it streams until I stop it. I also get reliable connections if I use the browser on my PC laptop.

★★☆☆☆ I love npr, but this app will stop playing randomly when screen is off on both my Android and iPhone. Not sure why. Please fix bugs.
