When starting up the app there is a error with creating a new account. This error is that gender options does not show up, and you can't progress without choosing one. It is impossible to choose something that's not there.

Never managed to run. Requires Google/Facebook or Phone number registration before any use. Very intrusive program connection-wise. Mobile phone OTP doesn't work (tried two different numbers). Keeps saying that internet connection is offline after selecting Google account, which is not true. It's probable that program does scan for your connection type and flags proxy use, thus the "connection error message".

While the app has a decent foundation for learning Mandarin Chinese, there are a lot of issues with it. First, there are a lot of technical issues that can really stunt progress. The worst culprit is the audio recording aspect; sometimes it would simply cut out when I was recording and other times it would say I'm 100% then 0%. Additionally, the way they have set up teaching the language is not super effective and simply following their lessons will take a long time to be fluent.
